The great liege of the 18th dynasty, the shining star of the New Kingdom, the ‘living image of Amun’, King Tut looked begrudgingly out his window.

His sceptre shimmered; a leopard skin hung loosely over his shoulders and a lion’s tail from his belt.

The beautiful Ankhesenamun rested her assuring hand on his shoulder.

They both knew what ailed him.

He wanted to break free – away from the colourful sheafs of corn and the hieroglyphs that dotted the walls.

But it would take much more than mere desire to escape from the painting that hung dismally from the library wall.
